Requirements:

• For the placement of children 0-12 months, both adoptive applicants must be 45 years of age or under at time of child placement.
  
• For the placement of children 1-5 years, both adoptive applicants must be under 50 years of age at time of child placement.
  
• For the placement of children 5+ years, both adoptive applicants must be under 55 years of age at time of child placement.
  
• Must be married for a minimum of 2 years, no single applicants accepted.
  
• Must have a minimum of high school education and sound financial portfolio.
  
• Must have no serious physical or emotional disabilities (including bi-polar or schizophrenia), as well as no serious health concerns.
  
• At least one of a couple MUST be a Canadian citizen.
  
• Cannot be notably overweight (Body Mass Index (BMI) cannot exceed 30. Go to www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi to calculate your BMI.).
  Only one divorce permitted for each partner and no criminal record.
